I love songs that mention specific locations in America. Whether it’s the Beach Boys comparing California Girls to those from the rest of the country, Marc Cohn walking with his feet ten feet off of Beale, Jason Aldean sticking up for our Fly Over States or Chris Stapleton wondering if you’re feeling LA sunny or Memphis blue, I feel a pull in my heart with every mention of these cities.
