In the past two weeks, the world has erupted. George Floyd was killed by a police officer named Derek Chauvin who knelt on his knee for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Right here in Minneapolis. The city reacted with protests which grew dramatically. By Wednesday, some of these protests turned into riots, buildings were burned including the 3rd precinct police station. Other buildings were broken into and looted, so many windows were shattered. The riots and looting continued on Thursday and the government reacted by sending in the National Guard over the weekend.
